Afteachglobal goes to Thailand
It started with a big handshake – a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that means we’re officially teaming up with another university. It’s a promise to share knowledge and grow together. Our fantastic team representing SIU included:
VP Palphol Rodloytuk, our Vice President for global education.
Dr. Pratikshya Bhandari, our Director of International Affairs.
Mr. Lester Naces Udang, our Director who helps us shine in world rankings.
Dr. Sipnarong Kanchanawongpaisan, who looks after our research ethics.
Dr. Doris Ogueri, our Head of Research Fellow Coordination.
Ms. Christena Naces Udang, our Assistant Manager for International Affairs.
Then, our campus was buzzing with a key benchmarking activity! We proudly hosted the AFTAECH Faculty Mobility Program from June 17-21. This was a week of brilliant minds visiting us to share their best ideas, and we were thrilled to welcome the AFTEACH team:
Dr. Rowena A. Pila, President of AFTEACH and a Professor from RTU.
Dr. Ernesto Framo, Deputy Director for Research & Innovation-AFTEACH, from Trinity University of Asia.
Dr. Liane Vina G. Ocampo, Director for Research & Innovation-AFTEACH, from CvSU Imus Campus.
Dr. Michael Marasigan Fernandez, Technical Coordinator from RTU.
Mr. John Lester Arago Salvador, Technical Coordinator.
Their visit was a valuable exchange, sparking new ideas for our research and teaching here at SIU. This truly reinforces Shinawatra University’s commitment to academic excellence and global engagement. By actively learning from international partners, we ensure our students gain a world-class education and are prepared to succeed anywhere.
